MENA (Middle Eastern North African Representation) Within TV/Film

A topic not covered a lot in media, and one I am passionate about, is the misrepresentation of MENA (Middle Eastern, North African) people within TV and Film. It shows the unfortunate numbers of MENA representation to inform people of what goes on in the TV/Film Industry. It includes recommendations for filmmakers to use when writing their stories and hiring actors. For both people who are in and not in the industry, I have added The Riz Test so they cananalyze a TV show or film they watch that contains at least one Muslim character to see if it represents MENA people correctly.

There is so much important information on this topic that I couldn’t just slap on some numbers. The solution was to add both quick information and further reading.

It is designed with colors and a textile I created that represents the Middle East to fully embody the culture. I found MENA characters to represent actors in the industry.
